About The Creator

Charika Carter is on a mission to empower, inspire, and build a solid foundation for individuals who have endured personal trauma or stressful life experiences, which ultimately hinder the creation of meaningful personal relationships. With a holistically sound approach, Charika believes that healthier perceptions will be formed to eradicate the vicious cycle of family dysfunction, creating a powerful platform to encourage the success of the next generation.

Charika launched R Carter Creates to help individuals of all ages and cultures reach their goals through intentional planning and daily journaling, while also providing mentorship to small business owners as they carve their own path to success.

With a B.A. in Psychology from Troy University in Troy, Alabama, an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Danville Community College, and many relevant certifications obtained throughout her career, Charika has gained valuable experience over the past 20 years as a direct service provider, entrepreneur, and community advocate. She has worked with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, and trauma, while helping to promote equity, equality, and resiliency with supportive services that allow for a brighter, safer, and more peaceful tomorrow.

Charika is passionate about serving her community through her involvement in empowering events for teens, trauma survivors, and the mentally challenged. Her ultimate goal is to show everyone, regardless of life circumstances or abilities, that we can pursue and achieve happiness together, even while facing the greatest challenges.
